Christian Louboutin has
out done himself this time! He has put his signature red sole on a very famous,
fabulous, shoe!
The fabulous designer
joined forces with Disney to create a modern version of Cinderella’s glass
slipper, which was unveiled in Paris in July. The shoe was designer in honor of
the release of Disney’s Cinderella Diamond Edition on Blu-Ray and DVD.
"Cinderella is not only an iconic
character when it comes to beauty, grace and fairytale love, but also
shoes," the designer said in a statement. "Her character and her
story dictated the design to me, it was all there in the pages and the words of
this tale."
The new shoe is not
made of glass, but instead Louboutin’s design is made of white lace with
sparkling butterflies, and Swarovski crystals throughout. Only 20 pairs of the
shoes are being released.
But Louboutin isn’t the
only one that has been hit with fairy dust! This November Harrods* will unveil its Christmas windows
showcasing couture incarnations of classic Disney Princess dresses by some of
our favorite designers like Valentino, Versace and Osc de la Renta.
